PreCare, 2010

PreCare emerged from a tradition of occupying vacant buildings for temporary use. It operated as an intermediator between property-owners of temporary vacant premises and artistic or social initiatives in need of workspace.

Between 1999 and 2010 PreCare opened 14 large buildings - for a period of six months to five years - thereby providing workspace to over a hunderd initiatives.

PreCare was discontinued in January 2010. This website serves as its archive and toolbox that still proves relevant.
